Absolutely fabulous place overall, it is fairly clean, location is stunning and great in a beautiful part of the world. The staff are nice, and the atmosphere is cosy. I have stayed in the double room with coffee or tea refreshments. The breakfast is good on a B & B rate, has appetising food. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

The antique ambiance of the hotel is appealing and the staff were very pleasant. It is nice to sit by a crackling log fire of an evening after a very good meal and enjoy a few malt whiskies.

The iconic charm of the oldest inn in Scotland enhanced our stay, while the cozy evening by the fire with local drinks created a nice atmosphere.

Warmth of welcome by receptionist and General Manager, friendliness of all staff and especially our breakfast waiter "Mathew" a charming well mannered young man, very attentive service. Helpfullness of front staff and cleaners. Meals taste and varity as wll as portions was excellent
The evening meal waiters were Romanian and although pleasant did not grasp what we were asking them and thus communication about the meals was not satisfactory

Food very good and bed very comfortable even for me with back problems. Staff well attentive and friendly. Hotel in a lovely setting and especially enjoyed walking along the river. Nice spot for fishing also as quite a good stretch of water.
We looked onto the car park and a part of the shower was broken. Cant complain as got good price but would hope this room was just for those on deals and not if you paid full price.

The hotel is in a very scenic area with many places to visit for visitors on a touring holiday. The staff were all very pleasant.
A new lift is being installed. 7.30Am is too early for the engineers to be drilling. We booked this hotel as we had heard in the past that the food was excellent. On this occasion we were disappointed on the quality of the food at dinner. Because the staff were so friendly, we did not complain.
